IRS EXTENDS OFFSHORE ACCOUNT VOLUNTARY DISCLOSURE DEADLINE TO OCTOBER 15

Posted in Offshore Account Update on November 10, 2009 | Share

Due to popular demand, the IRS has agreed to give U.S. taxpayers an additional three weeks to take advantage of the very favorable terms they are offering to come into compliance with respect to their previously undisclosed accounts.

I find this three week extension very interesting, especially in light of the government's recent increase in pursuing other foreign banks outside of UBS and Credit Suisse.
